Mrs. Coretta wan't always Dr. Martin Luther King's wife. Before she meet him, she was studying at the New England Conservatory of Music. She had fallen in love with music when she was a young girl, some people say it was a love that was shared between her mother and her. After she got married and became a mother, she had to put her career on the back burner. After years of forgetting about her first love, she was able to incorporate music to help raise money for the Civil Rights Movement. On November 15, 1964 she held a program called " The Freedom Concert" which was a musical about freedom that she played all around the world to raise money for the Civil Rights Movement.
